La P’tite Verte restaurant

One of Argentiere’s best restaurants is moments away from One Le Savoy: La P’tite Verte.

The atmosphere is very pleasant, simple, sufficient, there is a long and tall communal table along the middle of the room, with regular height smaller tables around the perimeter of the restaurant, which works perfectly. The service is attentive, friendly, professional and expert.

While French is of course the preferred language, English is fine, and they have an English menu if you are struggling with French. We have enjoyed the croque and market du canard as less familiar but delicious dishes, while the fondue is very nice – not salty like others eaten in Chamonix. We enjoy watching other tables have their steak tartare dressing blended at the tables.

We highly recommend making a reservation, but it’s not simple to get in touch to book – if you can plan ahead and walk in at end of lunch service and booked a table for that evening would be best. There are 2 sittings during high season, 7 & 9pm.

La P’tite Verte is a family-friendly, reasonably priced local restaurant, absolutely worth stopping by to get a table and enjoy local hospitality and Haute Savoie cuisine.
